The Camrose Ski Club was founded by early Scandinavian settlers in 1911 making it one of the oldest clubs in Canada.
In the early days ski jumping was the event that drew the crowds with upwards of 3,000 spectators coming to watch the daring Norwegian jumpers.
As you walk up the hill you will see the 473 meters of natural ice luge track located along the side of the hill in Stoney Creek Valley.
This cache is on a steep slope and is not recommended in winter or for small children. Do not attempt when wet or icy.
This cache was hidden for the Boomtown Trail Catch and Release event. The cache will be released to the general public on Thursday, September 23, 2010, but should not be logged until 6:00 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2010.
