Geocache Description:


There's Gold in Them Thar Hills! This was a popular thing to say back in the day when people would come from all over in search of Black Hills Gold aka the "Black Hills Gold Rush". One of the major mining companies was the "Homestake" Gold Mine. I could go into the complete history but that would take away from the fun of this little park in Lead, SD. The cache is a well hidden painted pill container. It has been placed on a vehicle the mining company used to use for hauling rock out of the mines. Please remember to place the cache back exactly how you found it. BEWARE OF MUGGLES during peak tourist times in the Black Hills. Use stealth! Happy Caching!!!!
