Geocache Description:

This is a series of caches being put out by Boy Scout Leaders in Central New Jersey Council BSA that are located at Eagle project sites.

Eagle is the highest rank that a boy can earn in scouts. He has to complete at least 21 merit badges (12 specific required ones and 9 others of his choosing). He also has to hold a position of leadership in the troop for at least 6 months, plus plan and carry out a service project that benefits either a religious or community organization. Many of these projects exceed 100 man-hours to complete. The scout has to fund-raise to pay for this also.

There will be a total of 13 caches in the series. The first 12 will be named for the 12 laws of scouting: “A scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent”. The 13th cache will be a puzzle cache. There will be a clue in each one that will give you the co-ordinates of the final. As you visit each of the caches, be sure to collect the clue in each one so that you can gather the co-ordinates for the final puzzle cache. These all will be coming out during the summer of 2010. Completion of the whole series will enable you to purchase a special patch designed for our council to commemorate this series.

In the vicinity of GZ, there is a bulletin board built by Jacob M of the Highland Park troop. This project took close to 175 hours to complete. Another Eagle project in this town was the painting of house numbers for the fire department. This project took well over 100 hours and was done by Asher M also of the Highland Park troop.

You are looking for a small container with only a log and a pencil inside.
