Old Cove is a 350-acre area in Webster County containing animal and plant diversity similar to that found in the Appalachians.
You could easily make this a several hour to half day trip. Park at the gate and follow the trail down to the cove. You can go beyond the cache down steps into the cove where you can explore the valley. Some of the local residents use the steep hills to practice rappelling. It is truly one of the more interesting natural areas of Webster county. Enjoy but be careful.
