Butano State Park is home to many species of flora and
fauna. We are highlighting a few of them here.
A short detour off the Jackson Flats Trail. Walk to the root end
of the long log that crosses the path to find this well-camo'd pill
bottle.
One of the park's most popular loop trails: start at the Mill Ox
Trail trailhead (see parking waypoint), then take a right at the
Jackson Flats Trail junction. Veer left at the junction of Jackson
Flats Trail and the Canyon Trail. When you arrive at the Butano
Fire Road turn left and head back down to the Mill Ox Trail cutoff
and back to the parking area.
