Squirrel Nutfest Traditional Cache
hazzathesnail: This is no longer a suitable place for a cache. Been unable to replace it after many attempts. It's a pity as this used to be a beautiful spot, now has become a bit of a dumping ground. Will report the sad demise of GZ to NPT.

A micro container on a beautiful piece of land sticking out into Gunwade Lake.
There is a small mud track leading from the main path to the area surrounding GZ. Unfortunately this is not suitable for wheelchair users or pushchairs. Take care on wet days, I nearly went a over t a couple of times whilst placing the cache.
Once you arrive, it is totally worth the walk in. Within 5 minutes, I'd seen a heron, a grebe and even a kingfisher around the lake.
The cache is in the bushes, on high enough ground that it shouldn't wash away with high water.
Parking is available at Ferry Meadows (watersports centre end is the nearest) You do need to pay to enter the car park at certain times of the year.
Please take care to supervise children near the water.
