Groundspeak is on a mission, and you can join in helping them
fulfill their ambitious goal to set a new record of the most
geocachers logging a cache in one day. Here's what Groundspeak had
to say:
"Plan to Go Geocaching on 10-10-10 We want to see how many
geocachers can go geocaching on a single day! We've chosen
10-10-10, since the date represents 10 years of geocaching and 10
years of Groundspeak in 2010. Bring your friends, bring your
family, bring your worst enemy (if that's what it takes) and let's
see if we can beat the previous record of 56,654 accounts logging
on April 18, 2010. Even one log counts since we are counting how
many accounts log a cache rather than the number of caches
logged."
Join us for a Flash Mob on
10-10-10 on this 10th year of geocaching with all geocachers around
the world.
We will gather for a group photo @10:10 am at one of our area's
coolest spots, Reed Creek Park
When you arrive at 10:00 am do not congregate with others until
the bell rings at 10:10 am. Everyone will then gather to sign the
log and take a group photo.
Afterwards 4 names will be drawn from the log, the first will be
a FTF for the event and the other 3 will be special prizes. Must
still be present to win prize.
Everyone then disperses from this location as quickly as
possible and GO CACHING!
But don't forget to sign log to claim your smiley for coming
out, and be included in prize drawing. Log must be signed!
