Geocache Description:

LOCATION

Standing high above the village of Cromford is Black Rocks, with Cromford Moor behind and the High Peak Trail passing just below. A wind and rain sculpted outcrop of gritstone, its stunning location affords marvellous views of the Derwent valley, and because of this the Black Rocks area is very popular with visitors and locals alike.

THE CACHE

The coordinates above are for the first clue. Once you've solved the steps below and located the cache, you will find a container slightly smaller than a sandwich box containing a log book, pencil and a few small swaps.

The coordinates for the cache are N53° 05.ABC W001°33.DEF.

The coordinates for the 1st clue are N53° 05.829 W001° 33.627. Add 818 to the two-digit number on the green post. This will be ABC.

Go to N53° 05.677 W001° 33.756 for the next clue. Take-away the four digit number from 2397. This will be DEF.

To be sure your new digits are correct, check they all add up to 32. (A+B+C+D+E+F=32)

PARKING

Parking is available at Black Rocks, though it is Pay & Display.
