Geocache Description:


A European Blue Flag Beach

Clonea Strand is the premier beach along nearly 100 miles of Ireland's south coast. The beach runs for a full two miles and is swept clean daily by high tide. On a fine summer's day, it's a tremendous playground with lifeguard service.
European Blue Flag Beaches must have "excellent bathing water quality", the beach "must be clean" and "an adequate number of lifeguards and/or lifesaving equipment must be available at the beach." There are many other requirements . In short, these are best of the best bathing beaches in Europe.
