Geocache Description:

8/3/2024 I placed a new container today with new swag. It is a good-sized bucket painted to blend in a little. The easiest way to remove and replace the lid is by holding the bucket between your feet. Please cover the container with wood before you leave.

10/3/2020 I placed a new round container in a traditional hiding spot. I don't think you'll have any trouble spotting it. Just a short walk in the woods. There is a spot to pull off the road if you are heading northwest on the southwest side of the turn, but be careful.

Please re-hide the cache as you found it, and as always try to disturb the area as little as possible. Also I encourage you to pick up a little trash.

The below info no longer applies, just leaving for posterity.

You are looking for a large Lock & Lock container. Just a short walk in the woods. There is a spot to pull off the road if you are heading northwest on the southwest side of the turn, but be careful.

Please re-hide the cache as you found it, and as always try to disturb the area as little as possible. Leave no trace. Also I encourage you to pick up a little trash.

In the photo above is a fossil that I found very near the cache site. As far as I can tell this is a Fenestellid, a member of the group of fossils called Bryozoa, or moss animals. These are small colonial animals which secreted about themselves a calcareous protective and supporting structure. This structure is joined together in many ways to form chains, lace-like fans and rounded branches. They are often found encrusting stones and shells. Each tiny hole in the structure was the home of a microscopic individual. Info from http://www.rasny.org/geostory/fossils.htm.
PLEASE LEAVE THE ROCK FOR OTHERS TO DISCOVER.

-----Congrats to okjayhawk on the first-to-find-----
