This cache is placed in honor of a group of ladies known as “The Fun Bunch” who have been featured on radio and tv shows. This group of ladies has been meeting together here every weekday since they graduated Coleman High in the early 1950s. Yes – every week day for over 50 years! They discuss the local events, children, grandchildren and anything else of interest. So if you happen to be by in the morning, go on in to the old fashioned soda fountain, listen for the laughter and meet this terrific group of women. They are the true meaning of friendship!
Update 2026 - The Fun Bunch meeting almost daily at Owl Drug for an amazing 65 years came to an end after Covid. One of the many wonderful things lost during that horrible time. At one of their funerals, the minister mentioned that she was a proud member of the Fun Bunch and if any President had just called on these ladies they could have solved the worlds’ problems. Lol. I hope to continue to honor these remarkable women with this cache.
