On The Wings of an Angel Traditional Cache

Today I soared across a land that seemed forever changed.
     Clouds of smoke rose above a nation that’s not the same.
I saw men fighting for other’s lives, to save their innocent souls,
     From an act of hate brought upon them, from ones with hearts so cold.
I heard the cries of many, with silence in their voice.
     And the faces of all the unspoken, said all have made their choice.
We shall rise above all else, and take back what we thought we’d lost.
     On the wings of an angel, I saw it all,
Our Liberty still standing tall.
     Women and men have died, and many others are lost.
But we will fight for you and win at any cost.
     As I was flying high above, and looking down below.
I saw our nation become as one,
     With our ships assailing and our freedom still in tow.
I saw it then flying high, bravely in the wind,
     The colors of the nation, the flag that makes us kin.
It seems my time has come now, to tell you all goodbye,
     So thank you Jesus for letting me see, America one last time.
