This cache is situated in a small local wildlife park that is bordered by Auldhouse Burn.
In the summer the plants can grow quite high, long sleeves and long trousers are recommended :)
We named this herons’ haunt because when we were looking for a suitable location for the cache we saw a family of herons flying in the area.
We would love to see your photos especially if you spot the heron family again!
The cache is on a circular path so whether you come across it the long way or the short way; keep walking round it is a nice short walk.
Cars can be parked in the local streets, there is no car park. Unfortunately due to the nature of the gate at the entrance to the park this cache is unsuitable for wheelchair users.
The cache is a small klick and lock box suitable for small swaps and travel bugs.
The logbook is in a black bison tube to protect it from damp.
