Geocache Description:

This will take you to visit a monument we often walk past and want to share with you.

This is no longer a multi. Recent work in the area has removed our hiding spot and there are very few other options in such an exposed area. The cache is at the given co-ordinates.

The tracker dogs played a very important part in the Vietnam War and in many case saved Australian lives with their abiliities to sniff out mines and booby traps; and their uncanny hearing ability.

Sadly, they were not allowed to come home to Australia because of quarantine laws - although they were left in good homes.

Caesar's handler, journalist Peter Haran, has written a book - Trackers. The Untold Story of the Australian Dogs of War (New Holland Publishers).
