Geocache Description:

As with all "country" caches in this area, watch for snakes, ticks, cacti, fire ants, hornets, and other unpleasantries!! Cache contains only a log, so bring your own tools!

My Great-grandfather was a “Post rider” in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s in Collin County, Texas. He wasn’t a Pony Express rider or anything. He just delivered the mail to the outlying farms on horseback. My dad remembered that as a boy when grandpa got to their farm sometimes he’d stop for some cold lemonade in the summertime, or hot coffee in the wintertime. I think he made the rounds once or twice a week. If you wanted your mail sooner than that you’d have to go to town yourself.
