Avenue House Park is a place we often go to play with the kids. After getting the bug of Geocaching I noticed that there isn't one in this park, so here's the first one.
Avenue House is an imposing grade II listed mid Victorian mansion with extensive grounds landscaped by Robert Marnock. These contain a unique collection of trees forming an attractive backdrop to the House. There is good access to public transport and convenient parking.
The park have a very nice playground, a big lawn for playing ball or enjoying the sun (whenever possible), cafe and paths to discover the grounds. It is open every day from sunrise to sunset.
The cache is a small camouflaged plastic container which include several swapsies for adults and kids, including a new travel tag - "Baby Pterodactyl"
** Hidden over the Jewish New Year of 5771 (Taf-Sheen-Aeyn-Alef) **
FTF: Well done to Nicodaemus on his quick finding!
