Congrats to Jeff60523 for the FTF

My daughter, PenguinChick, is in the 8th grade and runs cross country for her school.
On September 11, 2010, she ran the 2 mile course at Lyons Township South in 16 minute 4 seconds.

It was raining all morning and for every race before hers it started to rain harder. All of the runners were soaked. Fortunately for the 8th grade girls, it stopped raining a little before their race. Needless to say, the course they had to run was quite muddy in some places. After the race, so were most of the racers.

Then we went to the Pig Roast.
