Geocache Description:

This should be a quick grab on the UMD campus. You can park next to it if you can find a spot, but good luck doing that if attempted during school hours. Bring your own pen.

UMass Dartmouth's roots can be traced back to 1895, when two textile schools in Fall River and New Bedford were made. In 1962 these two schools combined to form the Southeastern Massachusetts Technological Institute [or SMTI for short] and the current campus began being built. In 1969 SMTI's name was changed to Southeastern Massachusetts University [SMU for short] and then the school adopted the name UMass Dartmouth in 1991. This should be an easy grab, but as a fair warning there will be a TON of people around if this is attempted during the day. If the spot doesn't appeal to too many people I know of a better spot to put it nearby, but could not as someone was sitting in their car next to the this spot when I hid the cache. Please rehid as you found it. You're looking for a small, screw-top container with camouflaged paint. As mentioned before, you need to bring a writing utensil. Congrats to GeoKat28 for FTF!
