A small container with log book and pen/pencil.
Inspired by the Motorway Mayhem series, A-Road Anarchy caches are meant to be nice easy stops to break up a journey, and maybe a chance to show off some local features that are normally hidden close to those busy A-Roads.
This pull in always makes me smile as I passed as it was a DIY and tool shop and I imagined the Two Ronnies inside talking about 'O's' and 'Four Candles'.
It is now a caravan and camper sales and a cafe.
I regularly drive this road from Nottingham to Worksop, and I was saddened to see that the new residents (Caravan Sales) had chopped down the huge pine tree where the cache was situated. Imagine my surprise when 'found it' logs were posted after I had spotted that the tree had gone!
Well today (11/07/2012) I decided to pull in and try the cafe and have a look around in the grass just to see if the container was still there. What a surprise! I won't say any more - just a heartfelt 'Thanks' to the locals (who now know about Geocaching and the strange people that do it). Oh and I can also recommend the very clean cafe, and the small all day breakfast, which was big enough for me.
There is a car parking area - the cache can be accessed at all times and without climbing fences.
