This summer I got a little wild and suggested to CADrake that we
take a seaplane from Seattle, Washington, to Victoria, British
Columbia, Canada, so that we could cache in Canada for a few hours.
Having never flown on a seaplane, it was a pretty exciting
adventure!
My downtown office window faces to the south so I see these
helicopters fly by all the timeas they come and go from Stinson.
Every so often I'd wonder what it would be like to ride in one. I
decided to stop wondering.
For my 4,000th smiley I decided I wanted to do something just as
exciting as that seaplane ride to Canada. I created a fairly simple
puzzle, Joyride, GC2E70G. In it I put a pretty decent FTF prize.
Whoever found the cache first was going to go on a helicopter ride
with me. CADrake was the FTF!
On September 25, 2010, come meet up in the parking lot with us
at 10:00 AM. We'll chat a while, swap stories and maybe some bugs
and coins. At 10:30, CADrake and I will be across the street
preparing for the flight. We leave at 10:45, and will be back in
about 20 minutes. Afterwards we'll tell of our adventure and maybe
show some video. From there who knows? If you haven't done the
Hiking and Biking cache series down here this would be a good
excuse to come down and get some.
The event will be over when we leave. I'm planning an hour and a
half overall, but as much as some of us talk who knows when it will
end!
