Geocache Description:

Be the zen of ten-ten-ten

If you are a Geocacher in the state of Washington, please join the Washington State Geocaching Association. This is a great way to get the most out of Geocaching in our region. Simply go to the WSGA Web Page for details!

Join us as we participate in a worldwide multi-event celebrating the once in a lifetime (generally speaking) opportunity to experience the 10th day of the 10th month of the 10th year of a given century. We will meet at 10 Mile...er...5 Mile Pizza between 5:10 and 7:10 PM.

To make the event even more special there will be a commemorative coin available. Stay tuned for more details. This coin has been officially designated as 10 times cooler than an average geocoin and 1 times cooler than last year's!

So bring 10 bucks (and 10 more) for some 10 inch pizzas, win one of the 10 door prizes, tell your favorite 10-related geocaching stories and mingle with one of the top 10 groups of cachers this world has seen in the last 10 years. If you are within 1010 square miles, consider yourself invited!

Sep 13 Update! - All of the sites participating in this event have a single coin minted especially for their event. Except us. A single coin won't do. We have 3 !!!

There will be 20 coins of each version available for sale at the event (total of 60 coins). Below (hopefully) you will find a collage of the coins. The front side is on the left, back side on the right. The top coin is the Spokassippi version (long story), the middle is the always classy Geoswag Black and White version, and the bottom row showcases the Geoswag Pretty in Pink (Floyd?) version. The gallery has bigger, individual pics. The best part is the cost per coin is a coincidental (we put the "coin" in coincidental) $10.10 with a 10 cent discount!

Please be aware while the IEWSGA is good at many things, the one thing we are not good at is keeping lists. Therefore, all requests, pleading, begging, and demanding will not reserve you a coin. Bribery does work - sorta. We'll take your money and put your name on a list, but we'll lose the list. Instead, a fun new game will be introduced at the event called "Queue Up For The Coin". It'll be great.

October 10th 2010 is International Earth Day!!

10/10/10 is also International Earth Day. VP PaneledZero has been in contact with the Earthcache reviewers (Geological Society of America), and they have some goodies on the way for us. We will be setting up a table for the event to show what Earthcaching is. (by "we" I mean PZ and friends. Thanks gang!) This will be an excellent opportunity to learn about the Earthcache Masters program.
