Geocache Description:


WHEN: Saturday October 16, 2010
WHERE: ERIE, PA - Presque Isle State Park, Rotary Pavilion to begin the geo-cache event.You can download a map of Presque Isle at visitPAparks.com
TIME: 9:00 am to register - ($3 fee per Cache Data Sheet)

There will be approximately 15 temporary geocaches and five brand new permanent caches hidden at various areas throughout the park. Each cache will vary in difficulty level but the more you find-- the more chances you will have to win prizes! Each cache will contain its' own random code which is to be recorded on a data sheet when found. As participants return to the pavilion, tickets will be provided for the number of geocaches found. The tickets are used for prizes that will be drawn at 3PM. YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN!

In addition to prizes that you can win- there will be give-aways for the kids.

There is a playground at the Rotary Pavilion and opportunities to do some fishing if you bring your own gear.

Bring your own lunch or enjoy one of the many eating places close to the park. Registration begins at 9:00 am and the caching will begin at 10am.
Be back at the Rotary Pavilion by 3pm for the drawing of prizes. There is a fee of $3 per data sheet.
There will be several Handicapped Accessible geo-caches at this event.

For more information about this, or other programs, Please call the Tom Ridge Environmental Center (TREC) at 814-833-7424. The park office is open from 8am to 4pm Monday thru Friday. The park is open daily from sunrise to sunset for hiking and other environmentally related activities.

With at least 3 days notice, interpreters for people who are deaf or hard of hearing are available for educational programs.
