Geocache Description:

This cache is located on the trail at the historical, birthplace of the Seventh-day Adventist church.

At the town center in Washington there is a white gazebo on the west side of Route 31. Turn west onto Faxon Hill Road which is just south of the gazebo. Proceed out Faxon Hill Road approximately 2.1 miles. Turn left onto King Street, which is a dirt road. Proceed south on King Street for 0.3 miles and the Washington NH SDA Church will be on the left. There is a parking lot on the left just prior to reaching the Church. Please park in the parking lot.

The trail starts at (N43° 09.248' W72° 07.549' If you use an auto GPS be aware, the road is not a thru road and cannot be accessed from the other end.) the parking area and meanders a mile through the woods forming a figure-eight. The trail crosses a couple bridges. Along the trail you will find markers identifying native plant life and benches to rest and meditate on the surroundings.

Along with the trail, adjacent to the church is an old New England cemetery where early advent believers were laid.

This cache is a place to share unique and interesting stones and minerals. The cache has been "seeded" with some polished stones including a FTF geode.

The cache is a piece of 4" pvc pipe, painted black with a test cap to seal the end. Please be sure to tighten enough to create a good seal when replacing the cap..
