Another in my GOTL series.This cache is located in the Geneva State Park, Ohio (hidden with permission). Please observe all State Park Rules and Regulations and park in designated areas. There is hunting allowed in the park between October 15th and February 28th. Please be careful and wear hunter orange if caching during that period.
An easy area to walk about and enjoy. The Cache is located not far from the paved bike trail. No bushwhacking is required. This cache replaces another that was susceptible to muggles. Hopefully this one will be far enough out of their way...Ha! The cache name came from the path and the eeriness of the trees and vines in this location. They all seemed to resemble the yellow brick road and the "witchiness" in the Wizard of Oz. You are looking for a 2 inch matchstick container. You will have a short hike along a well defined path and this cache can be approached from either the east or west. If you are coming from the east, please park in the Breakwater Beach parking area and take the trail along the lake. This will be about a half mile round trip. If you are coming from the west and want a little shorter hike, park in the Geneva State Park campground main parking area and take a short hike toward the lake. A well defined path is to the east of the parking area on the north side of the road. There is no room for trades and bring your own pen. Please return it as you found it. It is the ninth cache in my GOTL series and the eighth in the Park. I hope you like the cache and the area and please continue down the path to see the lake and then find my other caches in the Park.
