Welcome to the sofa dude trials! These caches are for those wanting
an easy challenge. “NO” broken bones, jail time, or
worse is in store for those who attempt these.
This cache has danger ! When you near the cache you will see the
danger all around! It has so much danger that I had to hide it in a
place that is definitely off the beaten path. This cache is
probably a little more challenging than the normal sofa dude trial,
it is only for the cacher who is willing to stare danger right in
the face. But hey even the infamous soda tube trials has a cache
that is so over the top and dangerous that you just shake your
head. This, the hardest of the Soda Tube trials, is called
“Soda Tube Trials #9: Pole Vaulting” and can be found
here: (visit link)
The walk to the cache is through a wooded area that can be quite
dense and thorny depending on the way in. There may also be
skeeters during certain seasons, but if you take the right path,
easy peasy, and you will definitely spot the cache.
Cache Explanation:
There is another local series that has generated a few pages of
discussion on the local Houston Geocaching Society forum. (visit link) This is a
continuation of the parody series started by ggmorton in response
to that discussion.
If you live in Houston, you KNOW it is HOT in the summer. So
most of us tend to become Sofa Dudes (aka we don't want to cache
and want to sit on the sofa where it is cool). This series aims to
be the totally opposite of the previously implied caching series.
There will be no bees to maneuver. There will be no physically
demanding requirements to get to the cache. In general they will be
fairly close from vehicle to cache. A quick way to get a
smiley.
If you would like to add to this series, feel free. I just ask
that you email ggmorton for a number first so that we will have an
accurate count and none of the numbers will overlap.
