FORT BEND county - When standing at these coordinates, you can look to the left down the length of the levee and bayou, and perhaps see egrets or turtles, and on a quiet day you can hear a persistent woodpecker looking for food. To the east you can see the levee stretching away into the distance to the very east edge of Sienna Plantation. To the south, you can see two interesting things. There is a tree next to the trail that grows horizontally for a few feet then towers toward the sky. It was downed by a hurricane several decades ago, but survived. Near that tree you can see the back of an official looking sign, which announces that this is a Cemetery. Yet you see no signs of a single grave. Did they build these houses on top of a cemetery? Is this a Watergate style cover up? Come back on Halloween night or a full moon and find out.
Be watchful for things that thrive in this kind of place, other than malevolent ghosts: fire ants, snakes, spiders, alligators, and possible muggles playing on the tree or hiking on the trail. Let's hope that an undead hand doesn't reach up out of the soil to grab you as you hunt for the cache.
NOTE: the container seems to get stolen a lot. If you make a reasonable effort and cannot find it, send me an email telling me the name of the cemetery this is supposed to be to demonstrate that you were at GZ, and tell me where you looked on the... thing... at GZ. I will go confirm that it's missing again, and replace the container, and let you know if you can claim it.
Park your car on Steep Bank Trace, and follow the sidewalk and gravel trail to the left of the bayou and fountain. Easy walk.
First to find prize is a Sacajawea one dollar coin in shiny new near-mint condition.
