Geocache Description:

Have you seen your Granny lately? If not she has been waiting a long long time for your visit.

Welcome to the Hennen Conservation area which is part of The Land Conservancy. This newly opened area has around 3 miles of mowed grass walking trails weaving thru a pine forest, oak woodlands, prairie/savanna and some wetlands. This is a beautiful area and a great place for a hike. In this conservation area you will also find a 300+ year old bur oak nicknamed "Granny Oak" and the inspiration for this cache. Please be respectful of this area and follow the paths directly to this cache which is located a few feet off of a wood chipped trail. Once you find this cache take the short walk and visit Granny- she is hard to miss.

Be respectful when visiting this tree as it has been living thru an amazing amount of history.

Permission to place this cache was granted by The Land Conservancy and the City of Woodstock. The area is open from 8am to dusk.

Congrats to getn froggy on being FTF!
