This is another cache placed in memory of past experiences of
my
life. This structure is the Infomart building. I was a
Building
Engineer here for one of the tenants. This is my last job I
had
while I was living in Texas. I will miss Dallas alot!
History on the Infomart:
INFOMART opened in 1985 as a permanent trade center for
the
information technology industry. The 1.6 million square foot
building was modeled after London’s Crystal Palace, the
site
of the first World’s Fair, the Great Exhibition of 1851.
Like
the Crystal Palace, INFOMART is a stunning landmark with a
bold
design and elegant seven-story atrium that reflect the
forward-thinking purpose for which the building was
constructed.
For this reason, England’s Parliament declared INFOMART
as
the official successor Crystal Palace.
