Geocache Description:

The cache is contained in a clip and lock airtight container. The cache contains log book and pencil together with several small swaps. It is placed within the boundaries of the All Saints Wilden Church with the full knowledge and permission of the Vicar and PCC.
It is easy terrain- can be included in local walks along canal, disused railway line and common, (or as a cache and dash). Available 24/7.

The church is one of 12 churches on the Wilden to Witley Country Church Trail: It is late Victorian and has a fine set of Burne- Jones windows. It also has strong links with the Baldwin family and the former PM Stanley Baldwin. The church is regularly open for visitors on the first Saturday of each month. The route to the church might be linked with walks on nearby Hartlebury Common, the disused railway line between Stourport and The Black Bridge, Hartlebury or footpaths which connect to Stourport and the canal. A local bus route uses the bus stops on the road which passes the church. There is a small lay-by for nearby parking.
It is suitable for walkers, cyclists, geokids and the immediate terrain is all one level, no steps or hazards. The church grounds are well maintained and we ask that paths are adhered to wherever possible; the cache is located near but not immediately adjacent to a path. The cache is NOT connected to or part of any grave.
The churchyard is populated by many wildlife species- squirrels, hedgehogs, bats and birds including owls. A wildlife garden has been placed to attract butterflies, (so far more frogs than butterflies), and buzzards are often seen overhead.
The cache contains a log book, pencil, and small swaps. Please enjoy and replace carefully. (Don't forget to log TBs in or out!)
