A little history of my home team New Orleans Saints.
The Saints, were founded November 11, 1966.
Their first game was played September 17, 1967 in Tulane Stadium against Los Angelos Rams, Saints lost 27-13.
First game won was played on November 5, 1967 against Philadelphia Eagles, winning 31-24
They played in Tulane Stadium through the 1974 season. The Saints played 2 decades before having a winning season, and 4 decades before reaching the Super Bowl.
Louisiana Superdome has been their "Home Stadium" since 1975 with the exception of 2005 disruption caused by Hurricane Katrina.
Home Opener game after Katrina was played September 26, 2006. Saints won 23-3 playing the Atlanta Falcons. That game received the 2007 ESPY award "BEST MOMENT IN SPORTS"
2009 was the Saints most successful season. They won their First Championship against Indianapolis Colts in Super Bowl XLIV
Colors are Black and Gold.
Saints chant-----WHO DAT, WHO DAT, WHO DAT----SAY THEY GONNA BEAT THEM SAINTS------WHO DAT, WHO DAT.
During football season, IF see a white Sienna van with WHO DAT painted on the back window-------that would be me------GEAUX SAINTS!
