Fernan Lake Road public ROW
The Fernan Lake Road Improvement Project, which began in paperwork form in 2005 between various federal and state agencies including the Federal Highway Administration, the Idaho Panhandle National Forest, the East Side Highway District and the Idaho Transportation Department, has been under way for several years. The purpose of the estimated $14.5 project is to reconstruct or resurface more than 10 miles of the route around the lake to improve safety. It is scheduled for completion in 2011.
This cache is at about 2242' MSL.
Drive past GZ 0.8 miles to the Canfield Mountain trails paved parking lot on left - near the gun club access. Turn around and head back towards the lake. There is a turnout near GZ on the right side. The cache is on public right-of-way - please do not cross the fence onto private property
This is a plastic container about 6"x4"x2" so items should be small. Please make sure the container clips are tightly engaged.
