Geocache Description:

Located in Cheesequake State Park, also accessible from other locations. Basically at sea level. Terrain makes getting it difficult, should get pretty good satellite readings. It is possible to paddle to this cache with a canoe or kayak.

Hip boots are needed unless you go in summertime and don't mind getting a little muddy. A walking stick helps also. Fairly small cache container, and nothing in it except the log book. Finding it is the reward. Leave items if you like. Be sure to hide the container as found when you are done. A boat would be helpful, but you don't need it two times a day. Leave the small children at home unless they are as tough as Marines. Look for cache in typical hiding spot. Consider this a training mission for the Melvin's Multiple Madness cache. Can be done in snow. Paddling Instructions: Park at 40 27.688', 74 15.743' the site of the former Old Sype Inn. Plan about 40 minutes of paddling in a touring kayak, maybe an hour and a quarter in a canoe. Time your paddle so you will arrive at the cache at high tide which can be had from this site, http://www.saltwatertides.com/dynamic.dir/newjerseysites.html#date , The tide will aid you for most of the trip, which is about 1.9 miles each way. Paddle toward the Rt 35 bridge and make a right before the bridge into Stump Creek, follow this until you get to either of these two spots, then turn left toward the cache. 40 26.678', 74 15.602', or 40 26.741', 74 15.517'.
