Geocache Description:

Several streams, numerous caves, and even a waterfall.

The property was recently acquired by Metcalfe County for enjoyment by everyone. It is open from dusk to dawn every day.

Dry Fork Gorge is a nature conservatory in the north-west corner of Edmonton, KY. There are several streams, caves, and even a waterfall (in the Fall and Spring). There are mowed trails that lead from one end to the other, but you will need to climb a small hill to enter the cave. Waterproof boots are highly recommended in the Spring and Fall.

This is a three-stage multi-cache planted on this property. One is easily located and does not require walking the trails. It contains the coordinates to the next one, which then contains the coordinates to the final cache (which has the toys and other items).

Since there are so many trees and it is difficult to keep GPS signal in the caves, the coordinates listed are to the mouth of the cave and will get you about six feet from the cache. You will need to look around from there, but it is not difficult to find.

The caches were placed by the Edmonton/Metcalfe Cub Scouts Pack 888 during our nature hike. If you enjoy hiking and camping, please consider joining us. We are going to do more exploring and will put out more caches in the future.
