Geocache Description:

I walked in to my local photo shop and asked what they do with all their old 35mm film canisters, and was promptly given a whole carrier bag full! So I have been customising them to become caches!

A bit of tape and a magnet from the bottom of an old Scalextric car (a nice Neomidium magnet too) makes up this film canister's modifications.

The location is St Helier Marina - Jersey’s main visitor’s marina, is conveniently situated in the Upper Harbour of St. Helier, only few minutes walk from the Town Centre, with berthing for up to 200 visiting yachts.
The Marina pond is maintained at a level of 5 metres (16.5ft) above chart datum by means of a sill gate. International Port Traffic Signals and depth gauges show when entry and exit are possible. This can be taken as approximately 3 hours either side of high water, the actual period differing slightly with Springs and Neaps. A digital gauge showing the depth of water (in metres) above the sill gate is situated at the entrance to the Marina. Visitors are normally accommodated on Piers E, F and G which are in the northern part of the Marina.
More info on the marina can be found here: (visit link)
