The monastery of Panagia Chozoviotissa, a male monastery, 3km away from the Chora of Amorgos. It was built in a cavity of the steep rocky eastern side of Profitis Ilias' mountain, seaward, at a height of 300m. According to tradition, the monastery was erected by the Byzantine emperor Alexios Comninos I in 1088. There is a collection of canonicals, vestries, manuscripts and oblations. On the 21st of November a great celebration takes place to honor Virgin Mary.
Μονή Χοζοβιώτισας (Εισοδίων Θεοτόκου)
Ανδρικό μοναστήρι, 3km από τη Χώρα της Αμοργού. Είναι κτισμένο σ’ ένα κοίλωμα της βραχώδους κάθετης ανατολικής πλευράς του όρους Προφήτης Ηλίας προς τη θάλασσα, σε ύψος 300 μέτρων. Σύμφωνα με την παράδοση ιδρύθηκε από τον Βυζαντινό αυτοκράτορα Αλέξιο Α’ Κομνηνό το 1088. Στη μονή λειτουργεί συλλογή με άμφια, εκκλησιαστικά σκεύη, χειρόγραφα και αφιερώματα. Στις 21 Νοεμβρίου γίνεται μεγάλο πανυγήρι προς τιμήν της Παναγίας.
