Geocache Description:

This is a series of caches that run along the Shore Promenade from Bay Ridge to Bath Beach in Brooklyn.
I’ve also included two of my other caches in the area so check them out while doing the series if you haven’t done so already.

GC1NKKG Brooklyn to Staten Island:

GC21ZHG Welcome to Brooklyn.

The Waterwalk Project is a partnership of
The NY Aquarium/Wildlife Conservative Society
Bay Ridge Park & Waterfront Council
NYC Parks Department
NYC Department of Transportation
NYS Department of State

This series of 6 caches will take you on a tour of the Brooklyn Shoreline & a distance of about 4 miles, one way. I suggest you Start at the Veteran’s Memorial Pier at 69th Street & Shore Road. YOU CAN WALK, BIKE, ROLLBERBLADE, SKATE BOARD your way to each cache. There is On-Street parking near the pier. You also can start at the Shopping Center at Bay Parkway & Shore Parkway and work your back way to the 69th Street Pier. I DON’T recommend doing it by car, although it’s possible. There are limited rest stops along the Eastbound side of the Belt Parkway. The whole idea of this series is to get out and enjoy the area, exercise, see the sights & learn some history and interesting facts.

During the Spring & Fall the weather can be quite pleasant, although it can be windy at times, during the Summer it can get quite hot but the breeze from the bay will feel good & during the Winter it can be extremely COLD! Please dress accordingly.

All series caches are TUBE containers, log only BYOP! Open the container then twist the bottom. Please place it back securely!
NO SIGNATURE, NO PHOTO = NO FIND!

If you feel you do not want to go back along the shore, take the streets back and check out other caches in the area of zip codes 11209 & 11228.

GOOD LUCK & HAVE FUN!

Congratulations to
