This cache is to commerate a very quickly achieved milestone to
a cacher relatively new on the scene.
I've never met WAM86, but I ran into some of their logs when I
went down to do some Lehigh Valley Trail Caches in Mendon this
summer. I was impressed with the relative ease they had with
finding all the caches and with their enthusiasm for the game!.
Then I saw the name popping up on all kinds of FTF's at all hours
of the day and night! Just recently I was taking a look at a new
cache and saw that in 5 short months WAM86 was approaching 1000
finds and given the degree to which I was impressed AND that this
catchy cache title came to my head, which is playing on a somewhat
inappropriate phrase, but one that I knew in the 80's before I was
old enough to know what it was all about, I decided to place this
cache in honor of their achievement. Congratulations and well
done!
The cache is a .30 cal appropriately camo'd ammo can!! It has a
small dent and takes a little extra muscle to open (sorry it was
the only available can I had). Depending on the approach there will
be some bushwhacking, then deer trails. No heads up was given to
WAM86. They don't need any help from me to get the FTF!
