Geocache Description:

Please do not leave anything sticking out. Do NOT park on the I-40 bridge. It's dangerous and is far away from the cache. Instead park at 35 06.401-106 41.375 or better, ride your bike. On the west entrance of the motor-free trail bridge. Tucked behind plaque. Bring your own pencil. No swag.

The motor-free path bridge opened on August of 2010. Gail Ryba died in 2010 of cancer after a lifetime of advocating for sustainable lifestyles which included bicycling. This 5.8 million dollar bridge was paid for with federal funds to stimulate an economy in recession since 2007. It connects motor-free trails on the west side of the Rio Grande with those on the east. Pardon noise from the interstate. http://onlyinnewmexico.blogspot.com/2010/08/gail-ryba.html
