Felsklippen Adam und Eva
Im Scherfeder Wald, in der Nähe des Waldinformationszentrums Hammerhof, befinden sich im Landschaftsschutzgebiet und Naturpark Eggegebirge und südlicher Teutoburger Wald die Felsklippen "Adam und Eva"
Es handelt sich um zwei Buntsandsteinblöcke, die ca. 5-6m hoch und 2-3m breit sind. Sie befinden sich auf einer idyllischen Waldlichtung am Rande eines Abhanges. Schrägschichtung und Wabenverwitterung sind in den konglomeratischen Grobsandsteinen erkennbar. Unterhalb am Hang verteilt befinden sich zahlreiche, bis kubikmetergroße Sandsteinblöcke.
Die Felsen stammen aus dem System Trias des Mesozoikum und sind damit ca. 200- 250 Millionen Jahre alt.
Die Felsformation ist als Naturdenkmal und Geotop eingestuft und steht damit als hervorragendes Landschaftselement unter besonderem Schutz. Etwa 100 m südlich befinden sich weitere Buntsandsteinklippen, die ebenfalls unter Schutz stehen. Leider sind die Felsklippen in den vergangenen Jahren etwas in Vergessenheit geraten. Früher hatte man hier einen wunderschönen Blick auf das Wisentgehege; leider versperren die Fichten nun die schöne Aussicht.
Um diesen Cache zu loggen, müsst Du uns nur:

die Jahreszahl nennen, die auf einem der beiden Felsblöcke eingemeißelt ist,

sowie die Höhe, auf der Du dich bei den Felsklippen befindest.
Nachdem Du uns die Antworten zugemailt hast, kannst Du sofort loggen, wenn etwas nicht stimmt werden wir uns melden. Optional kannst Du dem Log als Nachweis noch ein Foto von Dir und/oder Deinem GPS vor den Steinbrüchen beifügen, was uns natürlich freuen würde.
Parken kannst Du am Waldinformationszentrum Hammerhof bei N 51 31.697 und E 8 59.942. Dort befindet sich auch das Naturschutzgebiet "Hammerbachtal".

Rocky cliffs Adam and Eve
The rocky cliffs "Adam and Eve." are located in the forest of Scherfede, near the Forest Information Centre Hammerhof, in a nature reserve and nature park Eggegebirge and South Teutoburger Forest.
There are two red sandstone blocks, about 5 - 6 m high and 2-3 m wide. You are on an idyllic forest clearing at the edge of a precipice. Cross-bedding and honeycomb weathering are evident in the coarse conglomeratic sandstone. distributed on the slope below are numerous, large cubic meters of sandstone blocks.
The rocks come from the system Triassic of the Mesozoic and are approx. 200-250 million years old with it.
The rock formation is classified as a natural monument and geotop, and is a superb landscape element with special protection. About 100 m further south, there are red sandstone cliffs, which are also protected. Unfortunately, the rock cliffs in the past few years are somewhat forgotten. Previously we had here a beautiful view of the bison enclosure, unfortunately obstruct the pines now the beautiful view.
