Geocache Description:

I placed this commemorative cache to honor CatharsisJB, according to the Northern Illinois tradition of placing a silver ammo can in recognition of a cacher's 1,000th find.

Please, DO NOT park on the side of the road, as traffic is a hazard if you park there. Parking coordinates have been provided for a safe location.

The CatharsisJB name belongs to a husband and wife team that are local to the Rockford area. Stitch and I are grateful to be able to call them family. They were introduced to geocaching by a friend visiting from out-of-town in April 2008.

They had only found 7 caches before they introduced me to the sport on a Memorial Day weekend. It remained an occasional sport for a while, but it started a tradition to cache with the nephews and nieces on Memorial Day weekend. In 2010, they really kicked into gear finding more than half of their current total that year alone of the 5 calendar years they've been caching.

Now they grab a few caches almost every time they travel (8 states, so far). They mostly enjoy the simple, traditional caches, but mysteries, puzzles, and multi-caches are exciting, too.

Join Stitch & me in congratulating them on their milestone 1,000th cache!

Stitch & I are 2 big FANs of these 2, hence GC2FAN2!

There is plenty of room for trade items in this cache.
