It began here. My This is the first in a series of caches to commemorate our towns 300th Anniversary: 1711-2011. Our Tricentennial Committee sponsored a Township wide geocache hunt which was held in May 2011. Warminster Township has asked to have a geocache event in Fall 2012 in conjunction with planting another 300 trees in the Warminster Community Park - stay tuned.

Short History of the Area
Previously, this was an unused piece of ground at the corner of a former shopping center. Our overall goal was to honor the veterans, and at the same time beautify the area, and create a welcoming space. This was one of our township’s first efforts in the beautification program of a few years back.

A lot of us came together to make it happen. The VFW donated the flag poles; The Rotary Club did the landscaping and all of the hard work; The Township acquired the land and paid for the costs of the monuments, and my architectural firm did the landscape architectural design.

The Geocache
Since this spot sees a lot of use, we have increased the capacity of the cache container to encourage drop-off and pick-up of trackables.

The cache is a 8 oz. Rubbermaid container in a spot hidden from view of muggles. Bring a pen/pencil. If you take one of the trinkets, please replace with something else. Please replace container in same spot.

There are places to park off street. If you park on the street, do not park where the yellow is painted on the curb. Be careful of the traffic. Stealth is an absolute as this area is heavily travelled. Aside from the muggle factor it should be a very easy C&D.
