Geocache Description:

Cammo colored peanut butter jar

Trevor turned 10 on September 14, 2010.

Wheelz01 has joined me and my cronies for many geocaching adventures. Mostly visiting many nearby parks and LPSs but he has had many longer trips including Busse Woods, Beverly Lake and using the bike trails for exercise and geocaching on beautiful spring days. At the point of this posting he has over 250 finds.

Personally, I would rather spend free time in the forest than almost any other geological area (Yes, even including the beach). Early on when Wheelz01 started joining me, our GC adventures in the FPD would come to a crawl because I would find us doing a lot more tree climbing and investigating. This is the point that I realized, even for the outdoorsy / forest-minded person that I am, that GC was a means to the ends and not the end result. For this I thank my son. LESSON: When you are on the GC trail, be sure to slow down and enjoy the trip.

If you know my son, you know you can always talk baseball with him and I have found that in his 10 years, I believe he is amassing more baseball knowledge than I have done and I love sports. He lives and breathes baseball.

For quite awhile I have wanted to put a cache in this pocket of woods since we drive by it every day on the way to school (Science and Arts Academy) on minor St just down the road. I think this is as good of reason to do as I can think.

This is not an overly challenging cache but beware, upon entering, I found a small BMX track and signs of regular visitors. If there are teenagers, don't search, it is not big enough to search and not be seen. Thanks. BTW: If you are for some reason anywhere near the tracks you are NOWHERE near the cache, do not go onto or cross the tracks.

There is always some way to leave your mark on the log. Any log that indicates the finder did not sign for any reason (no pen, log full, scared off by a pack of wolverines, etc.) will be deleted. If you visit and the cache is missing, please log a DNF so that I can check on it and replace if necessary. Dropping a replacement is NOT permitted for this hide.
