Geocache Description:

This is just one in a series of 11 caches which I have hidden (with just a little help from my dad) on a shortish circular route around part of Lever Park.

The series is based on famous football players, some from years gone by right up to the superstars of the present day.

I hope you enjoy the caches and, even if you don't like football I'm sure you will enjoy the walk around this part of the world!

A genuine rival to Pele in the age old debate about who is the best player of all time. An amazingly gifted footballer who could do things no other footballer could and had the ability to win a game for his team single handedly!

Unlike Pele however, the Argentinian became somewhat of a "bad boy" towards the end of his career and even with all the fantastic goals he has scored and matches he has played, he will be best remembered (by the english at least) for the infamous "Hand of God" goal against England in the quarter final of the 1986 World Cup in Mexico.
