I decided to take a jaunt up to the top of Picacho Peak and
replace (maybe) a cache by Mule Ears. Figured I'd make an event
out
of since I already got the cache I'm going to replace. We'll
park at the Coordinates between 7:30 and 8am and at 8:01, we will
head up.
It's going to be a up and back hike. You can go down the
backside
if you want, as for me, I'm coming down the same way I came
up.
It's a tough climb/hike. Look at some of the pictures on GCC5D6 and
you'll know what I'm talking about. It's not for the fain of heart
or kids 11 and under (or thereabouts).
Please bring gloves to help with your grip on the cables (you can
thank me later).
Bring LOTS and LOTS of water! I can't stress this enough.
I
bring 100oz bladder plus a few stainless steel bottles in my
daypack. Bring some snacks too for energy, you'll need it.
