The LP (Lovdal-Phillips) Series Bonus cache is NOT AT THE ABOVE POSTED COORDINATES, but is nearby. Feel free to hike the nice dirt road at this location, however, as it is very scenic and frequented by walkers. Use clues from several hides in the series for the final located at:

Many of these caches are small so bring your own pencil. The difficulty rating is high because of what you need to do to get to the bonus location. The bonus cache is in a non-traditional caching area, and is easy to find once you have the coordinates. It is OK to park here and scramble up the natural feature for the easy find. Look for a note in the bonus cache and feel free to follow its instructions.
THIS SERIES IS NOT YOUR STANDARD CACHE SERIES!!! Plan to spend some time on these hides, and have fun figuring them out. This series is located on the Phillips – Lovdal Farm Preserve owned by the Southbury Land Trust, consisting of 155 acres of beautiful property. If you stick to the trails the circuit is about 2.75 miles long.
The Yellow trail was established in 2010 with an Eagle Scout project organized by Zach S. It is wet in places so wear appropriate footwear. I participated in several Eagle projects here, and expect to participate in more as the property gets refined. The Blue trial is not continuous so some bush(field grass)-whacking may be required. Park at either the Philips or Lovdal parking areas (coordinates below). It doesn’t matter which one. If you park at Phillips Farm, the blue trail starts down the driveway in the field to the left of the barn. The yellow trail starts up the road at the Velcro cache.
Why call this called the LP Series when the preserve is named Phillips-Lovdal? Well, for those of you old enough to know what an LP is, or even what it stands for, it seems more natural to call this the LP Series than the PL Series. If you don’t understand this, then you are not old enough.
