This one is a pretty hard terrain rating, though if you own one piece of equipment it will drop to a 1.5 rating.
I STRONGLY URGE NO-ONE TO CROSS THE RIVER....(i know it can & has been done, but for safety, please don't).
The rips through the river's mouth are deadly, if you fall and get swept through the mouth, No more caching for you. . .
You have been warned...
Please note:
25/12/02. There is a 5 kilometre exclusion zone from the Murray mouth if you intend 4 wheel driving along the beach.
This is due to the dredging to clear the Murray Mouth.
It will mean a 5 Kilometre walk in along the beach.
Cache is an Australian Army Missile transport Container,
(Dark Green Camoflage)and Yes, it's empty, we "used" the contents at the last Piggy party.
For those technically minded, it actually held an 84mm HEAT round.(High Energy Anti-Tank).
Make sure you screw the watertight lid back on, it has a wizz-bang handle thing for extra leverage.
Missile container half buried contains:
- 25 Pin Gender Changer.
- Roll Black insulation tape.
- 50 cent Singapore Coin.
- Funny bug toy from the McPhoto vale Geocache.
- Pen & Notebook.
