Consiglio di dedicare una giornata a questa meravigliosa isola, approfittando delle cache per godere di una spiaggia meravigliosa, un mare cristallino, un cimitero reale, una grotta abitata da capre (vds. altra cache) ed un'isola che è una montagna in mezzo al mare.
Arrivare all'isola
L'isola è collegata da maggio a ottobre da numerosi traghetti che la collegano con porto San Paolo ogni ora con una breve navigazione di circa 15 minuti (A/R 12.50€ da maggio a settembre). Se avete un piccolo gommone o una piccola imbarcazione arriverete autonomamente sulla spiaggia dell'isola tutto l'anno.
Cache
La cache che consiste in un tapperware contenente un Logbook, un TB, alcune conchiglie ed una vertebra di gabbiano, è posizionata proprio fuori dal bellissimo cimitero dove sono seppelliti i membri della famiglia reale Bertoleoni in un paesaggio mediterraneo surreale, tra dune e mare, distante 5 minuti di cammino dal molo dove il traghetto vi lascerà.

L'avvincente storia di questa minuscola monarchia, evoluta tra pirati turchi, briganti, re, pastori e contrabbandieri è narrata nel libro “Tavolara, l'isola del Re” di Ernesto Carlo Geremia e Gino Ragnetti (Ed. Mursia).
L'isola di Tavolara così come Molara e Molarotto fanno parte di un Parco Marino Protetto, è quindi richiesto un rispetto per la natura ancora più attento, al fine di preservare questi gioelli di inestimabile bellezza.

Getting to the island
The island is connected from May to October by several ferries that connect the porto San Paolo every hour with a quick navigation around 15 minutes (A / R 12,50 € active from mat to september). If you have a small boat or a small dinghy you will arrive on the beach by your own yearround.
Cache

The island of Tavolara as Molara and Molarotto are part of a Protected Marine Park, which will require a respect for nature even more careful to preserve these jewels of inestimable beauty.
