This is a hike for the more adventuresome amongst us. It can be extremely vertiginous at various points and there are more than five tunnels to get to the cache site. However, the explorer will be richly rewarded with spectacular views, various tunnels with open splendid windows that permit even better views and a huge sense of achievement. Please only Park at the co-ordinates given and follow the instructions to find the canal. The canal is easy going and will take you directly to the cache site. "Dizzypair" reports that the cache is close to N28 18.120 W016 27.195. So, these should be better co-ordinates than mine above ! My GPS refused to receive a signal at the cache because of the vertical terrain.
Just before One of the tunnels you will come to a tree that is 'stopping a boulder from going over the side' and I was able to get good gps coverage here. The cache is a few metres further on.
Once you are able to take this photo JUST BEFORE THE FIRST of the windows..... the cache is Just a few metres further! Please take plenty of water, hand torches and walking boots. The walk is simply to follow the canal into this remote valley and then to return the same way..... Good Luck....Enjoy and Take Care.
Important Info :- Please look at GC4C3M2 which is placed opposite the Entrance to "Road that will take you" up to the 'Starting Point.
