Geocache Description:

This cache has been hidden to celebrate 10 Years of Geocaching.
To celebrate, special 10 Year Event Caches have been placed all
over the world. All of these special 10 Year Events are celebrating
the switching off of “Selective Availability” on 2nd
May 2000, which means your GPS had an accuracy of 100m at best!
Dave Ulmer placed the first ever Geocache and the next day,
Geocaching had been born. The rest is history! The 10 Year event
held nearest to here was on the 2nd May 2010 at the Cheshire Cat.

Willaston is a small village, which has the pleasure of the Wirral Way running through it. Whilst in Willaston if you haven’t already done so, be sure to check out the Hadlow Road station Museum, which has been brilliantly restored to a typical day in the 1960’s. Only the people and trains are missing. This cache is located along New Hey Lane, which is a single-track road off Hadlow Road. Although single track, there are plenty of turnaround points available. The cache is a small so small TB’s and Geocoins can fit in it. It is at the start of a public footpath in an obvious place so please make sure it doesn’t roll out and is secure.
