Part of an ongoing series designed to get people to come and enjoy the quiet town of HOMOSASSA. This first cache is placed on the pepper creek birding trail just outside my favorite place in town. Homosassa Wildlife Park. I have visited the park many times and love it. They seem to always be adding to it and making it better. This trail is shared by the parks tram and walkers only!! NO AUTO’S ALLOWED! This is a paved trail stroller friendly.
WE have a series of 4 caches on this trail.This is a 13 cup plastic square round container great size for Trackables.Please park in the large parking lot provided.Parking lot located just off US 19. At the visitor’s center for the Homosassa wildlife park. Please practice your best visitor behavior here when caching. Please practice cache in and trash out as to help keep this trail clean.NO CACHING AFTER DUSK!! If coming from out of town plan to spend a few extra hours here to visit the park too, or our many spring fed river systems here.So much to do here in HOMOSASSA ! If planning a trip inside the park plan at least 3 hours to see the entire park and all it has to offer. I have found that when I visit the park I park the car here and if the boat is running take the boat over and the tram back as you get to see the best of all the environments. And it’s no extra charge. Although I tend to spend about 4 ½ hours as I get caught up watching the animals there and of course the Manatee’s ( The gentle giant ).
